Haven on the Shore

This lakeside getaway has been a favorite retreat for the homeowners for years, but they were ready for a dramatic transformation. The original design leaned rustic and country-inspired; dark finishes, limited natural light, and spaces that didn’t fully capture the beauty of the lakefront views. The goal for this remodel was to create something modern that the whole family could feel at peace in.

We took the exterior down to the shell and rebuilt it with a sleek, contemporary design. Clean lines replaced traditional trims, and a new window package, featuring larger openings and additional glass throughout, floods the home with natural light while framing expansive views of the water.

Inside, functionality and flow were at the forefront. The kitchen’s existing island didn’t serve the family well, so we redesigned the space with improved storage, a more efficient layout, quartz countertops, and custom cabinetry tailored to how the clients use the home. The stairway also received a full refresh with new handcrafted railings fabricated locally, bringing a modern architectural detail to a previously dated feature.

Every detail of this remodel supports the same vision: a place where the homeowners can relax, entertain, and feel at home the moment they arrive. The result is a clean, modern vacation home that finally reflects the way they want to live.
