Basement Remodeling

Turn Underused Space into Something that Actually Works.

Basements are often the most overlooked part of the home—used for storage or left unfinished because they don’t feel connected to the rest of the house.

The opportunity is there, but so are the constraints. Ceiling height, natural light, layout, and access all play a role in what the space can become.

As a design-build firm, we approach basement remodeling with those realities in mind. It’s not just about finishing the space—it’s about making it feel intentional, functional, and integrated with how the home is used overall.

Whether it becomes a place to gather, unwind, or create separation within the home, every decision is made to ensure it works in context—not as an afterthought.

The result is a lower level that feels like a true extension of the home, not just extra square footage.

We just wrapped a remodel of our screened-in porch (turning it into an enclosed sunroom) with Home Specialists LLC and the entire experience has been great from start to finish. They’ve been very responsive and proactively gave us project updates. They also finished the job relatively quickly, despite some winter weather disruptions. Overall, it’s been a great experience and we are loving the new space!

Home Specialists LLC did an excellent job on the extensive remodeling of our primary bathroom with an eye towards aging in place.
The staff communicated regularly with me and kept the project on schedule. I appreciated the friendly and calm demeanor of employees despite, I’m sure, lots of hectic days.

I highly recommend them.

Mike and his team were fantastic! We’ve worked with various teams on home projects and home specialists went above and beyond to be efficient, pay attention to detail, and do a great job! Plus they cleaned up which was greatly appreciated.
