Most rewarding for him is to see the teamwork between the clients, vendors, and employees all working together for the best final result.

VP of OperationsTrent works well with the team to keep them motivated and looking forward to each day. He enjoys pushing forward to keep projects on task and to complete them on time with high quality. Teamwork is Trent’s goal, which is a core value of Home Specialists and is very important in meeting client expectations with employees and subcontractors who enjoy their work.

Office Manager, BillingPat’s experience as a physician assistant makes her the go-to person if anyone has medical questions. Project DeveloperScott is a highly respected project manager involved in many phases of the remodeling process. He has over 28 years of experience in residential construction. His first 18 years in contractor sales gave him unparalleled product knowledge and invaluable experience in client relations. Scott is responsible for critical tasks of project management including permits and inspections, communication, and coordination, and ensuring that each project remains on schedule and within budget. His primary goal is to make his client’s dream become a reality.
Chris P.
EstimatorChris’s background in sales of bathrooms and basements has given him the ideal background for his work with Home Specialists as an estimator. His keen eye for detail is utilized in assembling the projects together. He and the project managers work closely together in meeting with and caring for their clients. Chris works closely with each vendor and subcontractor through the details in preparation for the final proposal. As projects move forward, Chris obtains permits and works together with the project manager to the project for construction.
Andy W.
EstimatorAndy states that the project manager brings to life the client’s visions and dreams of their projects. Andy quantifies those details and works with vendors and subcontractors to ensure they meet the client’s needs. He then builds them into proposals to send back to the clients. He loves to build and formulate Excel spreadsheets to assist in any process or calculations necessary. Andy’s background as a restaurant manager helps him considerably with customer and coworker interactions. He is very flexible and is ready to do whatever needs to be done.

Safety CoordinatorEllis’ past work in Human Resources, Training, Safety, Business Development and Operations provides a strong base for sharing experience to grow talent in the workforce. Ellis has strength in the industrial service area with enhancing/developing the company’s safety training and programs. His over 30 years of business acumen provides detail and practicality for helping associate skill sets increase and add safety awareness.

Project ManagerNo stranger to construction, Shawn has over twenty years of residential and commercial remodeling experience. Shawn’s leadership education while in the military has taught him the skills of how to be a true leader. His experience in commercial construction and his expertise in all aspects of residential construction has led him to Project Management. This position utilizes Shawn’s problem-solving skills, and his eye for detail, to effectively oversee quality control, to ensure every construction process runs smoothly while working together with project managers and vendors. His goal is increasing his expertise in construction and growing better relationships with team members and clients.

Foreman, CabinetryScott completed the construction program at Grand Rapids Community College, and about a year later started working for Home Specialists. This was about 18 years ago. Scott is passionate about achieving the highest level of performance and project excellence as possible. This quality has led him to excel in each step of his career. He is currently leading trim and cabinet building.

Foreman, CarpenterRick has been an integral part of Home Specialists almost since its inception. He was one of the first employees, providing us with 22+ years! Rick has experience in all aspects of construction, performing those skills with dexterity. He has been a foreman for many years. He now focuses on fine-tuning projects to enhance their completion to the satisfaction of our clients and Home Specialists.

His attention to these details enables him to expertly add a personal touch to the work he does for clients.
