Adapt the Home for Long-Term Living
Without Compromising How it Feels.

The goal was to stay in the home they love, but the existing layout didn’t support that over time. Daily routines relied on spaces that weren’t easily accessible, creating friction that would only increase.

The solution was a main-level addition designed to bring essential functions—bathing and laundry—into a more practical, accessible part of the home.

The bathroom was planned for ease of use without feeling clinical. A zero-step shower, wider layout, and durable finishes support long-term function while maintaining a clean, comfortable feel. The attached laundry space keeps everyday tasks on the main floor, removing the need to navigate stairs.

At the same time, the kitchen was updated to stay consistent with the rest of the home—new surfaces and refinements that bring everything together rather than leaving the addition feeling separate.
